Really wanted to like this book but the prose was terrible the characters grating and the storyline that was supposed to be romantic honestly just felt abusive. Bummer dude.

The politics definitely got preachy from time to time, but it’s YA fantasy so it didn’t bother me all that much. Genuinely one of the best fantasy books I’ve read in some time; it was a total refresher from all the scholarly reading I do and a great segue back into reading what I love.

Me gustó muchísimo, especialmente por la protagonista, porque como está contado desde su perspectiva mayormente, podemos leer todo lo que piensa como es que reacciona ante ciertas circunstancias y también como es manipulada por muchos personajes. Al final solo era una chica que siempre quiso encajar y solo fue usada como un arma.
La historia también me pareció interesante y el ritmo con el que se contaba adecuado, además creo que todos los personajes aportan algo a la historia y ninguno está de relleno. La "found family" que hay aquí es especial, es creíble (que a veces es difícil de encontrar).
Si lo recomiendo.

This book started out stumbling through the plot and world building. A lesser book would’ve fallen on its face by page 50. This one, however, turned that near fall into a sprint and kept it up until the finish. A truly satisfying enemies to lovers with twists and turns, I had a great time
