It took me a little while to get into this story, but the ending absolutely made it worth it. The action scenes were exciting, the plot kept me hooked, and the characters were really compelling. Especially their complicated relationships, which I enjoyed a lot.
The only reason I didn’t give this five stars is that there were a few moments where I found my attention drifting.
Overall, though, it’s a great read and I’m glad I stuck with it!
wow so do i need to watch the hunger games?? i know this was good asf cause i usually itch for the romance in a romantasy but holy i was on the edge of my seat for every fantasy ish moment in this book. i cried for ibrihim. i cried for her. i cried for raihn. i sobbed for vincent. this was actually addictive and i haven’t felt this way for a book in such a long time. def one of my new favs. ugh.

Great start to a fantasy series. I'm very intrigued about this worldbuilding and how certain things are going to play out. Some moments felt overdone but overall an enjoyable read.

4.5 / 5 stars. a beautiful & dark fantasy world with yet another 300 year old man i like too much. absolutely breathtaking plot twists and i care so much about these characters !!!
Listened to the audiobook on 1.25 speed - was a bit painful at times. I really need to stop reading romantasy.
