Managed to finish on my third try. I feel like I can't take this series all at once. I require breaks between each book in order to appreciate Willa's signature brand of bumbling, slap stick humor. However, as this time my mood suited the book, I really enjoyed it a lot. Will reread in the future. Really loved the dickhead scene. It was the highlight of the book for me and made me crack up laughing, which not a lot of books can make me do these days.

This series has gotten waaaay too long winded in my opinion. I was having fun but it feels like some stuff was completely unnecessary, like all the crap with her mom. I'm just over it. Thought I could finish this series but apparently not. Also, for a reverse harem series, these books are weirdly PG xD what's up with that?

In honesty I've been putting off reading this. Really there is no reason I've done that other than just pure not feeling it.

Reading this felt like a bit of a chore. I think thats my fault. Its been 2 years (ish) since I read the previous book in this series so I felt a little lost.

FMC is also a little cringe. She makes me think of a girl that acts clueless but really is smart. Idk.

I'm in two minds about finishing this series. I think I will while its available on KU. If I was paying per book probably wouldn't

I will be providing a review for the entire series rather than one for each individual book.

This marked my first experience with a Reverse Harem (RH) Fantasy series. On the whole, I did enjoy it and appreciated the opportunity to read something a bit distinct within the RH genre.

There were a few issues that stood out. First, the pacing was off, and quite frankly, the series contained more books than necessary, prompting me to skip some in the middle. Yet, even after this, I was able to follow the central storyline seamlessly, indicating that those skipped books weren't crucial. Second, I wished the slow-burn element had been toned down. The fact that we didn't encounter a sex scene until the third or fourth book, while it may suit some readers, left me slightly disappointed. Given that I primarily read RH for those scenes, this was a letdown.
I believe the series suffered from being categorized as Young Adult; it might have fared better under the New Adult or Adult genres. This shift could have allowed for a darker, more explicit tone.
Lastly, the plot structure was disorganized. While I appreciated the fantasy components, the lack of coherent plot structure led me to skip certain books due to sheer boredom.

I found myself drawn to the male characters. Willa, on the other hand, came across as cringy, annoying, reckless, and occasionally selfish, particularly in the first book. My affinity for her was limited. However, as the series progressed, I began to warm up to her character.
Additionally, the plot and the relationship involving Emma and Cyrus was incredibly nauseating. I despised it; it was truly dreadful. It came across as abusive and disturbing. I'm not sure what the author was thinking.

I’ve made it this far I guess I’ll finish.

I thoroughly enjoy Willa's constant level of chaotic clumsiness. It makes me laugh all the way through these books. It's my favorite part after the boys.

so good

This series is sooooo good. It has the perfect amount of everything. I am thoroughly enjoying every aspect of this series and this book. There are always surprises, and I can’t wait for more.

Rereads: I really should stop but I'm in too deep now

Second read: I'm torn. Yes I read it in a day because it's so deliciously readable and I love the characters and the plot (ish) ... But the writing is just SO wooly and tangley and has zero finesse.

A not-so-strong 5/10
