*DNF’d after literally 4 sentences...I literally started this as an audiobook, heard the main character start drabbling her nonsense, and immediately closed back out of it*

Not much to say about this book or this series. It’s main character is unbelievably fragile AND dense, and it’s painful watching her interact with everyone. It just is.

The only reason I made it this far was because I was curious to see if her stupidity would kill her. Now I no longer care.

This book picked up after a huge event at the end of book 3 in the Curse of the Gods series. Willa was killed, but instead of ascending to Topia to become a god by Staviti, she managed to begin the process herself. No one is sure of what Willa really is, but its time to find out!

In Strength, the guys work on helping Willa understand and use her powers. Unfortunately, they are stuck doing this at a new an improved school for sols, one created in order to make new Beta's for the gods to help Topia gain more power. As gods, the guys are forced to teach sols at this new school but instead focus more on Willa's developing powers. We also get to see their relationship further develop as Willa balances her interactions with all the Abcurses :).

In this book we also learn more about Staviti, the creator god, and how he came to be. We also get a further understanding of the connection between Minatsol and Topia, and that it might differ from what Staviti proclaims. Tough times are brewing, in both realms, and conflicts are beginning to arise. The gods are beginning to divide. Big things are about to happen, and Willa and her guys are right in the middle of it!

This book felt like a filler book. Which is fine. Most series have them but I just feel like nothing really happened.. well I guess some big things did actually happen but you know what I mean. I was a little bored... It was still funny as hell. Willa coming into her powers is hilarious. I love all her men and I love her.

This book was 3.5 stars at best though.

Willa is not dead and she's got some power to back up all that sass now. I *love* it! As the authors start ramping up for the final book in the series, secrets are being revealed, certain ancillary characters are engaging in flirtations (that I hope the authors do a spin off on) and we're finding out about both Willa and Staviti's pasts... paths that didn't seem to cross are looking like they're interconnected 🤔🤔🤔 Did I mention the 🔥 sex? Yep. There's that too. Can't wait for the finale!!

I don't know what it is that makes me like this series so much... but I do :D
Bound to the Abcurse brothers (finger-licking goodness), Willa is still on the quest to find out who (and what) she really is. They finally made it past the awkward girl-bro phase (thank god for that) and into the 'let's go swimming' phase of their relationship.
With some very lovely and major twists and turns I really am looking forward to starting book 5, even if it means I'll have to say goodbye to the characters that have made me facepalm and roll my eyes more than ever... but in the best way possible :D

Ready For The Finale

So many things are unravelling now and we are starting to get a picture in our heads, yet there are still unanswered questions that I am excited to finally receive answers to in the final installment of the Curse of the Gods series.

The beginning of this book was hard to get through. I ended up taking a break and coming back to the story, which probably didn't help. The books I read during my break were quite good and highlighted some major annoyances in this book. First, I paused reading initially, because the story just wasn't moving quick enough. A lot of mysteries and conflicts were set up in the first book of the series, and by the beginning of book 4, it still feels like the authors are leading me around in circles. Sure some development and revelations have occurred, but there wasn't enough to hold my interest. The ending of the last book blew the door wide open for opportunities to find out more stuff in this book, but no it was same old mysteries. To further compound the issue it felt like the plot was starting all over again when the main characters are all sent back to a new school. I can tell the authors are going somewhere with this twist, but it on top of the lack of progress in the main mystery of Willa and her origins/powers, I was just tired of it. It felt like I would've been better off re-reading the first book. The only reveals that have happened thus far are who the Abcurses are and what their story is. That was tied up in book 2. Lots more has happened to add more questions, but not more answers.

The big reveal for who/what Willa is, seems obvious to me, though I could be wrong. I can't pretend that I'm really sure how this series is going to end, so I think there would be entertainment if I were to continue to read, but I'm a bit hesitant to commit to that. The ending to this book was good, and left me wanting to know what happened next, but I've been in this boat before, and spent half the next book aggravated. I don't know if I'm ready for that to happen again.
