This was a fun play on tropes, 80's references, and big gestures.

Though it is insta-love (one week) it was fun and lots happened within that week.

3.5 stars. It was cute

This was super cute. I loved the characters and the story line was great. The audible narration was good too - Andi Arndt and Joe Arden are the narrators - two of my favorite narrators.

Kylar (aka Tom) is a man of big gestures. When he shows up to profess his love for his ex Breakfast Club-style, he's surprised to find that she isn't exactly living there. Finley is, however, and she's been waiting for her comedy muse to show up. She breaks his heart when she appears at the window instead of the ex, but she's quick to befriend him and offer to help win the ex back.

This book had some genuine chuckle out loud moments. Tom's snark and sense of humor was spot on and Finley's TV-sitcom mindset is adorably funny. The end was hurt-your-face happy. Another 5 star hit by Lauren Blakely!

Tropes: Mistaken Identity

A fun romance, particularly if you're a fan of grand gestures and romcom movie quotes!

Unzipped was definitely one of Lauren's more "cheesy" books that I've read. I loved that the characters quoted songs and movies. It definitely made for a fun book! It was also definitely a slow burn.
Tom was definitely a character that really bothered me in the beginning, but he was so sweet and charming towards the end that you couldn't help but love him. Finley was the main character who happened to find Tom singing to her, (not actually her) and she decided to help him out to win back the girl of his dreams.
I definitely have to say, Finley and Tom are definitely people I would LOVE to hang out with! Funny and adventurous! They also like quoting movies and songs. Heck. Yes.

I dig a hot nerd!
