It gets 5 stars because its Agatha Christie 😊 but this is my least favourite of all the Miss Marple stories probabl because of the sadness of Miss Marple gettingbmore infirm and the changes to St Mary Mead. Having said that it's still hugely enjoyable and despite having read it before I still couldn't remember the ending

The novel's up to Agatha Christie's usual brilliance, but unfortunately I couldn't really enjoy it since I knew from very early on who the killer was.

If you're a fan of Gene Tierney it's not at all difficult to figure out why Heather Badcock was killed. And motive really is key in this mystery. I still give the book four stars though since it is well written and, Old Hollywood knowledge apart, a clever mystery.
