I don’t know what to rate this. The thing is that I enjoy his writing but the things he writes about are not exactly right up my ally. (I‘m aroace, he is not, it’s a lot of sexual stuff, so yeah) but did. feel some of his poems, actually quite some, especially the ones about depression and hopelessness. Don‘t know what that says about me. His words are plain and simple but they stick in your mind; they got stuck and mine and they hold just as much as any metaphor filled poem, if not even more. There is a reality and truth to his words, you know these words and thoughts belong to him, they sprung from his feather. It‘s not made more beautiful or flowery — it is the way it is; just like life and I love and appreciate that a lot.
I was planning on never doing star ratings again but I just had to express myself w this one. Quite literally the worst thing I’ve ever read and I genuinely believe the ppl who loudly claim they like this just want to be contrarian

After consuming an insane amount of misogyny my brain juices are still soaking in with the ideas I was being served randomly . Maybe this was not exactly my taste in poetry and should have picked somthing else by Bukowski, I don't know honestly.
I personally felt that it was a little tedious and DNF'ed it almost 50% of the way through.

i’d like bukowski a little more if he was actually a decent human being
