I am friends to lovers trope enemy number 1, however this book was so wholesome i feel like it has changed my perspective on the trope. Also… i will allow the proposal plot for this book (AND THIS BOOK ONLY ELSIE) because it just makes sense.

(Fr tho, can my girl end her books in any other way apart from a proposal?)

Three stars because this book put me into reading slump. Normally, I am not a fan of childhood friends to lovers, but I must say the way which the story was just flawlessly continued from the first two books is awesome.

In terms of the characters, a love Sloan‘s character she is strong independent, and knows what she wants in life. There were occasions where in which she did annoy me a little bit, especially when it came to her decisions with regards to Jasper, but I do like the way she stands up for herself and gains proper footing when it comes to defending her and the people she loves.

I did not like Jasper as a character however, which is a
surprise cause of the fact that I normally do like the main male characters when it comes to their own books. For me, Jasper had a personality of a wet noodle, and he didn’t interest me as much as a character should .

But like I said, maybe I am a bit biased to the fact that I do not like the whole childhood friends to lovers plot this in all honesty was more like a filler book for me because I did not see anything to make it significant, but I must say the incorporation of how important Beau and the plot line that insured on that end was really good.
