I just wasn’t in the mood to read this book. 

Grim and Beast have apparently known each other for a long time, and yet the way they interacted made it seem like they only just met. 

I didn’t like how the beginning was written and I didn’t care to find out about their story, which is a shame as I was really interested in them after reading Academy of Stardom.

23y.o. Male and 17y.o. Female is making it very hard for me to appreciate the story. The entire book is sexual tension between the 2 characters even though it gives off a dark romance vibe. 
I thought the plot was alright but i still wish the younger of the 2 characters was an adult……

**I received this as an ARC**

Holy macaroni!! I have wanted Grim and Beasts' backstory since I first read Academy of Stardom. I am so glad to finally get it. Let me warn you now, this book is absolutely crazy. The whole last chapter keeps you on the edge of your seat, and that cliffhanger, just about kills you. I don't know how patient I will be able to be, waiting until July for book 2.

This is automatically a 5-star. Are you kidding me?! Not a 5-star, but 10. This is totally one of my top books for the months. I super love GRIM and BEAST! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE THEM!



My heart, my heart. I don't usually read books where the FMC and the MMC know each other and are friends before they like each other, but this changes everything. So this is a slow-burn romance and girl when I tell you the SEXUAL TENSION will cause the reading edging too. No joke. This is a warning to all.





This book is one of my favorites. I just wanted to explode! There was a lot of action, plot, and feelings involved. Yes, there will be a pain, but fret not! THERE WILL BE AN HEA!!! It is a process that we all need to go through.



But I promise you BEAST is a BEAST in the streets and I know in my heart that he can be BEAST in the SHEETS. I trust BEA! Grim is a badass Bitch and she will kick ass! I love her! I cannot wait for the next book. I just need it soon! So if you love:

Tales You Win is the first book in the Grim and Beast Duet. We have seen the two characters in past books and I loved seeing how their story started.

Beast works for Grim's father and is Grim's bodyguard. Grim is 17 almost 18 and her father is very controlling. Grim likes to push her father's and Beast's buttons. She has had feelings for Beast for a while but Beast knows he could get in a lot of trouble with her father.

The more Grim temps Beast, the harder it is for him to stay away from her. He is there for her when her father treats her badly, and will always be there for her if she needs him.

I loved the banter between Beast and Grim. Will Beast be able to keep his distance from Grim? Will Grim get her wish and be able to be with Beast? What happens when her father figures out they like each other?

So much happened in this book, and I can't wait to see what happens with these characters next.

The slow burn is going to make for an explosive conclusion in book 2!!! I love Beast and Grim so much, ever since I met them in Academy of Stardom and I’m so happy to read their story. This first book takes place before any of the events in Bea’s others books in this world, so we get new insight and information on what is was like for Grim as a teenager. We learn how Grim came to run Tales and her fathers empire and her start of her relationship with Beast. She’s sassy as ever and loves giving Beast a hard time, in more ways than one
