Why do I feel the need to rant about this book when it was neither bad nor good? Maybe the mediocrity offends me because there are glimpses of good, like this could have been better if the author had better feedback or editing?
This book was simultaneously too long and too short. Too long in the way that it dithers on and on, but too short because it constantly tries to cram interesting details but doesn't dwell on them long enough. Everything in this book is only dealt with on a superficial level, and it leaves a lot to be desired in the world building and internal logic of the story. So much of this book left me feeling like either the story is stupid or I am for not understanding what it's trying to convey or picking up on what feels like obvious inconsistencies and plot holes.
A lack of logic wouldn't bother me if this book had the cozy, magical vibes or simmering love story that was advertised. But it falls short; it all feels manufactured and lifeless. I just felt empty when I finished this.

Rewitched ist ein perfektes Herbstbuch. Es geht um Magie, Freundschaft und Selbstwert. Dabei bleibt die Geschichte trotz einiger ‚schwerer‘ Themen hauptsächlich cozy.
Belle und ihr Abenteuer nehmen einen mit auf eine schöne Reise, die zum Schmunzeln und Mitfiebern einlädt. Insgesamt ein wirklich entspanntes Buch, dass absolute Herbstvibes gibt.
Der Schreibstil ist ein angenehmer Mix aus Unaufgeregtheit und emotionaler Tiefe. So ist das Buch weder unnötig dramatisch noch flach oder oberflächlich. Sehr lesbar.
