3.5 stars. I might have rated this book higher if I had read the other 3 more recently. It was enjoyable, but there are lots of characters. I was confused at times trying to keep track of everyone. Still an enjoyable read.
This one felt superfluous and the Isabelle and Jennifer conflict never got resolved and honestly it just felt repetitive also after losing a father to cancer having a whole book where you watch someone painfully succumb to it was exhausting.
Read this 4th in the series in one day during Covid # 2. This ends the saga of the Quinns on Natucket. They are all gathering for a final Christmas at the Inn. The adult kids are in flux again, although Ava is finally in a more complete, adult relationship. The patriarch, Kelly is very sick and everyone gathers to be with him. My least favorite of the series, Elin Hilderbrand was trying to tie up all the loose ends and leave her readers contented. I hate endings, so that's why I will always recommend this series to read during the Christmas season.
I continue to have no idea why this book exists, but it was a pleasure to read. Though, all the Fast Eddie bits felt like mega filler, unless that was just a fat Easter egg for the Elin stans. I didn’t need most of this book, and I cried anyway. Farewell, Quinn Family!
Starting off this book, it was quite confusing and I often found myself having to reread pages to keep track of all the different characters names and stories. This book is written in third person, which surprisingly was written very well. Once I got used to the character names I really enjoyed the book. I liked how the characters had separate stories that all intertwined together.
