Did not expect the emotion
I did not see the emotional turmoil I would experience at the end of this book. The previous three books of Hallmark love and silly issues, tied together for a gut wrenching end. Glad to have read it.

After I read the third book in this series - which was supposed to be the final installment of the trilogy - I felt sad but satisfied. When I saw there was another book featuring these characters, along with some of my other favorites from one of Hilderbrand's earlier books, The Rumor, I knew I needed to read this one. It did not disappoint! Without giving too much away, I can say that this book hums with heart and family, and I found myself sobbing toward the end. Read this series, especially with the holidays coming up! It's a wrap up on the couch under a blanket during a snow storm kind of series.
Wait, I’m confused. I thought that Winter Storms was the last Quinn family book.
It’s not.
Winter Solstice COMPLETELY caught me off guard. Usually, I know about books that I’m interested in months in advance. I didn’t know about this book until it came through on hold! For someone else! Not me! The list was 10 people long and we only had two copies!
I couldn't wait that long to read a BONUS QUINN FAMILY BOOK.
So I bought it.
It was heartbreaking. Usually, the Winter books are scandalous and soapy. This was mostly sad, as Kelley suffered from his cancer through most of the book. The rest of the storylines were wrapped up far better than they were in Winter Storms, and I’m ok now with this being the last book (not that it would matter to Hilderbrand or her publisher.) I’m looking forward to rereading the Winter books (in order this time!) and to any other new books by the author.
Here’s to dreaming about being rich enough to live on Nantucket.

I really enjoyed this conclusion to the Winter Street series. I feel like the only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because I found the chapters about Eddie distracting and I felt like they took away from the Quinns. I feel like each of the characters had some closure to their stories while I can also imagine them as they move forward in their lives. It is the mark of a good series/author when you want more and I definitely wanted more of the Quinns! I even found myself shedding some tears at the end of the book.

I can't remember the last time a book actually made me cry, like real crying, I'm blaming it on the 3rd trimester hormones...
A nice wrap up of a good story. It was good to catch up with characters from previous books too.
Thanks to the publishers for a copy of the book.

Good finish to the series. I didn't have high hopes from what I had heard from others but it was enjoyable and wrapped up well.
