This took me so long to read but not because I didn’t like it- I just got busy!

My god so many emotions while reading this. I can’t express how much I love and admire Anthony Bourdain’s life & work.

Reading is a privilege- but reading this book feels like an extra privilege. Anthony Bourdain was by no means a perfect man, but he knew it and acknowledged it. Being able to peek into the mind of such an interesting and brutally honest individual was such a joy.

This sounds all very cheesy, as I do not have the gift of gab that he did. Definitely would love to read more of his works, maybe a fiction one next time.

You can just tell that Anthony yearned for a life that was meant to be worn off, truly lived. A book and author that will stay with me forever. Hard to say goodbye to this one. Definitely one of my all-time faves.

oh, anthony my beloved. you can only be this raw when you see what's the best and worse of humankind. i can see why he loved cooking and the kitchen environment so much. i'm also a lover of chaos, even though i don't abide to it and just observe from afar. it's fascinating.
he's such an interesting writer and it's magnetic how you can hear his voice each sentence you read.
you'll always be dearly missed, bourdain.

I love this book. I love this man. Those who know me will know that I don’t hand out a five-star that often but honestly, this one deserves that and then some. Favourite read of the last year.

RIP Anthony Bourdain. What a legend.
