Loved You Once
The Baker’s Creek Billionaire Brothers, Book 1
By: Claudia Burgoa
Narrated by: Connor Crais, Stella Hunter

OK, I am totally invested in this series now! This is the first in the Baker's Creek Billionaire Brother's series and the premise has me captivated. Six brothers called back to Baker's Creek for the reading of their estranged father's will. With terms that are beyond believable, the brothers that come from different moms and have fragile relationships all have to live together for 18 months in Bakers Creek. Hayes is the second oldest and takes control of the situation, and along with his old girlfriend, Blair begin to make plans. She is the one he let get away only to marry his brother Carter. Will these two find their way back to each other through this mess of family drama? Claudia Burgoa has me all in for this, and I was rooting for Hayes and Blair from the very start. Hayes is sweet and swoony, but I can definitely understand Blair's hesitations to dive back in. This is a fantastic start to the series, and I can't wait to spend the next 18 months with the siblings to see how it all pans out.

Connor Crais and Stella Hunter could not have been better matched to their characters in this story. Crais brings out all the romance with his swoony sound as Hayes. Hayes is determined and charming, with Crais giving it his all. Hunter always finds her way into her characters, and as Blair, she has a lot of layers to get through. From her sickly childhood, to her marriage and ultimately her big heart, Hunter finds her way through many emotions. I loved this team and they made for an amazing listen.

Loved You Once...will always!

Warning:

This novel is filled with ridiculously gorgeous alpha males intent on getting their own way.

This novel centers around a dreamy doctor and the one he pushed away.

Loved You Once can cause emotional attachments to Baker's Creek, pastries, and The Aldridge men. Beware it is possible you will be swayed to donate to a fictional charity, I know I wanted to.

Also please remember that there are enough Aldridge men to stake a claim. It would not be wise to resort to violence when attempting to claim your man.

*****

Now that you've been warned you have no one but yourself to blame when you pack up your life and can't find the exact location of Baker's Creek. (I say this while unpacking.)

Loved You Once is all the amazing swooniness any of us would love from the one who got away. Still in love with him and what you once had, he rides in to save the day and sweep you off your feet! Check please!

Sexy, sweet, and the start of a very fun endeavor, Loved You Once is just the beginning. I am desperately panting for who we get next! I have my own Aldridge Madness board and I'm placing bets!

This was an interesting beginning to a new series. It’s going to take some time and a ton of patience to make this arrangement work. It was sweet to see Hayes and Tori find their way back to each other.

I have rarely disliked a dead man more then I dislike William Aldridge.

Wow! I think this is one of the best second chance romances stories that I've ever read.

There is serious history between Blaire & Hayes and his entire family. His father's death brings them all back together after 12 years with stipulations from his will that they will all be hard-pressed to uphold.

The author shows us that everyone makes mistakes and we are all human and should try to forgive past mistakes in order to show that we can rise above where we come from.

Great story and I can't wait to go back to Baker's Creek for more.

It's obvious this book is first in a series because it doesn't stand alone very well and honestly it wasn't good enough for me to want to read the others.

There was really nothing wrong with it and the plot was pretty good, however, there were WAY too many brothers I couldn't keep track of all of them. I get that they each get their own book but in this story it was distracting that we had to try and introduce what was essentially 6 main character's plus the heroine. There were also side plots that took up way too much time and then weren't resolved (again I get that they will be their own books).

It just wasn't well executed, I felt like I was reading a prologued for the rest of the the series that was an entire book long.
