You better be kidding me with that freaking ending bro I'm about to throw hands

First of all ms. Gurl Scarlett you are so annoying you're lucky your court freaking loves you cause I wouldve smacked you and your impulsiveness bro ugh thank God we're gonna see her PISSED in the next book cause I'm ready for her to be badass again and freaking rage

Just could not hold my attention. And everyone was constantly fighting and bickering. It was exhausting

Good fucking riddance. Character growth, where?

1. Scarlett continues to be a hypocritical c you next tuesday. What little consequences she faces, she gets out of it by using sex as a distraction. She continues to lie, hide things, and not put trust into anyone, despite being told that it's needed. Then she pouts. She needs to grow the fuck up. Anyone who says there was character growth in this book, fucking tell me where because I am not seeing it.

2. This book made me lose my love for Sorin. The fact that he has no backbone when it comes to Scarlett, continues to let her off easy and continues to not push her for answers? Yeah, fuck off.

3. Callan and Talwyn? Don't give two shits about their POVs, and they're both idiots. Every character is an idiot.

4. It's not a good thing when I care more about side characters who barely fucking interact, have no POVs and are barely involved than I do about the main characters.

5. I'm essentially hate reading the last two books since they're part of a book club I'm in. Don't expect good reviews.

This one was harder to get through. Kept it at a 3 only for the VERY very ending, the only part that offered a sliver of hope that the series may not suck after this book. I don't see myself reading the next anytime soon to find out unfortunately.

I’m wavering somewhere between 2-3 stars, so just rounding up. I still find Scarlett so exasperating. I find it hard to like her as a MC. I understand that her personality is supposed to be due to her trauma and her upbringing but she just comes off so bratty.

The most enjoyable part of this book was when her friends confronted her about the way she is. Of course, she still continued to do similar things, albeit on a smaller scale but I’m so over her hiding or just not revealing information for no reason, especially from Sorin. I get that she’s not going to change right away or completely, but maybe if her attitude wasn’t as bratty I’d feel less strongly.

I like all of the other characters. I kind of find Talwyn and her story arc more appealing than Scarlett’s. I like Sorin, but I find myself not really caring about Scarlett and Sorin’s relationship because of Scarlett.

The ending and cliffhanger were good. The actual plot still interests me and for the world building sake of the Legacy series (which is so much better in almost all aspects, IMO) and the future Avonlean series, I’m pushing through the rest of this series.
