Listened on audio. The narrator was decent. The storyline was wretched. I should have known. Silly romantic fluff.
Great ending to a terrible book. Don't get me wrong there were some laugh out loud parts to this book but Emma is just so unbelievably stupid and naive. I almost stopped reading half way through but I pushed in hoping it would get better so I could give it two stars. I LOVE Outlander and some of the references to the book but I can't believe how literal she took "Finding Frazer." He is a fictitious character and though I'm sure there is a man somewhere that might have most of Jamie's characteristics, I can't believe she tried to fit every man into that mold.
Really enjoyed this though I cringed super hard through most of it. Emma......too similar to my own brain sometimes.
And omg I want to go to Scotland so bad.

The premise was exciting and it's what drew me to the book but I found it terribly lacking. I love Outlander but this was a big miss. Jaime Fraser is more than just a large, red-headed Scot in a kilt. Outlander fans, stay away.
There was the potential for many funny situations but they missed the mark. They could have been hilarious. I was expecting much more humor, instead it was more "oh poor sad whiny me".
Naive is an understatement, to describe Emma. It bordered on a lack of common sense. Her blogs were awful at first, granted the author might have done that to show how "green" she was but still. It didn't get better enough to make this book worthwhile.
Is this supposed to be "current" because somethings seemed like they wouldn't happen in 2015- like getting a passport at an office the week you plan to leave. There were many other examples, too.
Emma is 29 but acted at least 10 years younger. I didn't like her voice-- she's judgmental and silly. Her rationale is off-base. The author tries too hard to have this seem "hip" and cute.
I did not finish this book at 30%. I had to force myself to read that far.

DNF at 120p. This book is awful. The main character is an idiot.
I’ve never really read fan fiction before, and given that this was Outlander-based - I was all in. Premise: 29 year old Emma decides to go looking for her own Jamie Fraser in Scotland...and has all kinds of up and downs before she gets to her conclusion. Emma as a character is naive and gullible, and OBLIVIOUS when it comes to men. That part was mildly frustrating, but I enjoyed the Outlander references throughout. Consider this light, fluffy reading and was a good break from the darker, heavier topics I’ve been reading about as of late.

It's such a funny book! And if you are a Outlander or even just fan of Scotland you will love it!
I had a blast with it!
I listened to it on Mofibo and liked Romy Nordlinger as narrator

Extremely cute. Now very much want to go on a months-long trip to Scotland and fall in love.
