Uff I really loved it. The language precisely grapsing the world, the characters whose lives and actions are so deeply intertwined with each other, the different personalities that I learned love while being annoyed at them from time to time, the fine threads that hold the narration together, the loving and caring relationship between Selma, the optician and the main character (and Martin), the reminders "die Welt hereinzulassen", the pictures in which people's inner lives are described, the play with words and language...
The only thing I wouldn't have needed is the love story between Frederik and the main character.
