Daddy trope.
The H is a mafioso/casino/billionarie.
The h is a sweet 18-year-old - like that she wasn't into fashion design. She was kind of annoying but then I was like wait she's 18 LOOOL
Light fun read.

dude, what did I just read??!!!
if you see this review before deciding to read the book, be warned:
he kidnaps her on her seventeenth birthday. at that point he is 32 years old.
exactly a year later, on her eighteenth birthday, they start their ”relationship“.
he is so possessive over her that you can call it toxic. they excuse his behaviour and that’s not okay. and even though she researched why she likes him and how he treats her and decides it has nothing to do with the missing father role in her life, I highly doubt it .
don’t get me wrong, I like the male love interests possessive and when they want to make sure that everyone knows they’re together. but this book? this was even too much for me.
If you still want to read it, go on. this is just my opinion and my taste in romance books. but age gaps are a very difficult topic in books, especially if one of them barely is legally an adult.

I absolutely loved the dynamic between Maximo and Juliet right from the beginning in this book! BIG age gap and lots of daddyMaximo so if that’s not your thing - don’t read.
The way Maximo quickly falls for Juliet even though that was the last thing on his mind when he kidnapped her is so perfect! I love his early POV chapters cause you can so clearly see he is a big dummy pretending like sweet, little, innocent Juliet hasn’t captured his whole heart! He tries denying but from day one he’s making sure Juliet has literally everything her heart desires.
And as for Juliet - she is a spitfire of a 17/18yo right off the bat but you quickly see that while she may try and deny/fight it, what she truly wants is someone who will love and care for her and fill her world pleasure and calmness and allow her to explore her passions. She was raised with none of that and at first fights back against the forced comfort she’s being given but once she realizes how nice it is not to have to be scared of where you are or stress about how you’re going to make it to the next day, she allows herself to open up and quickly falls for the one that brings her all the pleasure in the world!
