DNF @ 36% the age gap was too much for me I was hoping it would be something it wasn’t so I kept reading but yeah not a fan a 33 year old man should not be attracted to a teenager that’s weird. Sorry I don’t want to yuck anyone’s yum but I just can’t even though it’s a work of fiction it still is just too much for me personally.

this was painful to finish
definitely one of the better mafiaesque romance books I’ve read in awhile! I’d highly recommend for fans of 365 days! Maximo & Juliet’s relationship was so cute, and as an anxious girl myself, I loved how he provided her with so much validation, trust and love over and over again.

Such a well crafted book. Sexy, dark, witty, and sweet. Loved the evolution and growth of the MCs. Supporting characters were fun too.

I loved the first half of this book!
The MMC takes (kidnaps) the FMC when she was 17. He builds up an obsession for her for a year. (He doesn’t touch her until her 18th birthday.)
Once they got together the story went downhill and became boring.
I never thought I’d say this but the MMC was too over the top. Everything had to be his way and he wasn’t flexible, which is fine to a point. For example: he tells her that they’re getting married in two hours. He expects her to get ready and not to ask questions.
The best thing about the story was the FMC. She had spunk. She had a heartbreaking childhood and because of this she understood the bad things that can happen but she was still a fighter.
This is not as spicy as I expected! There might have been two good scenes but the rest were short with little description.
