Horowitz truly is a brilliant author. Completely engrossing! This book manages to be both modern and a nod to classic detective mysteries. Like Agatha Christie, Horowitz employs a large cast of characters and uses the group gathering to set the stage for the final reveal. The story within a story trope is done exceptionally well, except that it's hard to remember that the Atticus Pund sections are set just post-WW2 rather than the present-day setting used for the Susan Ryeland sections.
