Took a lil break from my usual, and decided to revisit one of my childhood authors. I loved Secret Seven when I was a kid, so reading this book is quite nostalgic for me. Although I do find a lot of it very predictable and too unbelievable now—I guess that’s just me being too old for these types of stories—I would still love to read more of Enid Blyton’s works. It does provide for a good comfort read.

ahh to read a famous five book and be blown away.

I have decided to reread The Famous Five series as I loved the series as a child. It was lovely to revist Kirrin Bay and meet Julin, Dick, George, Anne and Timothy again. It was interesting how Blyton seems to be setting the scene for most of the book and in the last 30 or so pages is when most of the action happens. I remembered what should be happening and when it didn't I thought I had confused the books. I am curious to see if it is the same for the rest of the series.

I definitely reccomend the book for children as I still enjoyed reading it.

3,5 stars rounded up to 4.

Famous Five Mysteries were one of my favorite childhood series, so I wanted to give a try in my adult years. I felt very nostalgic and really enjoyed the characters but unfortunately the adventure and mystery was a bit slow paced and uninteresting for me.

5 stars, every time!!
