Very adventurous, but in my opinion it´s the best of the collection, the others are not that good.

This book seemed so much longer when I was a kid. Have just reread and not a lot really happens. It’s nice reading about all the characters and how they first met George and they have a nice time together. It’s not till the last quarter that things gets exciting and start to move along at a faster pace. Exciting story in the end and I can see why I loved this series as a kid.

This is my favourite childhood series lmao I was cultured

peak literature
adventurous lighthearted mysterious fast-paced

My goodness I loved this book as a child, and the adaptation I had on video.

These were some of the first books I feel I remember reading and it’s been lovely to go back to them and have a re-read!:)

Flash back to my childhood when my mum would read it to me

A few days back, I wasn't feeling quite good about myself. A friend suggested that I should read something easy and fun. And I dug out an old favorite. I think I'm gonna read more Enid Blytons this year. They do make me happy. Still.

I'm trying to re-read most of the books I read as a child. I really like children's books, still, and I want to collect all of them that I want to pass on to my children and nieces and nephews! What I remembered from reading the Famous Five as a child, these were the only books that I thought were actually scary. Maybe it was the Dutch translation, but it wasn't as scary at all! I was even bored at times! Maybe it is the difference in translation, or maybe I'm just not made for it anymore (which would be odd, as I read SO many children's books on average!). I might pick up the next one, or I might not. Currently I'm not in the mood for it, but maybe in a month or two I'm willing to give it another chance! :)
