Nostalgia! Obviously it's very simply written but it's such a nice story when you get past all the life lessons that are aimed at children.

It is an easy breezy children's book. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the kids' adventure on the island. This book can be a good start to developing a reading habit in children.

I read this book to my 5-year old daughter after being recommended to it by a friend. My daughter loved reading it and was anxiously waiting to find out what happened to the children on the island. Every night she'd ask me to read her one extra chapter. I had never heard of the author prior to this but I would defiantly pick up more of hers to read to my kids.

I thought this book was fine. I got bored in certain places, but that's probably because I'm too old for it. George's love for Tim was well shown and her character arc (this is a children's book) was well done. 
Overall, 3 star read.
