Some decent advice for life/careers. He's a smart guy.

I listened to the audiobook with my free Spotify credit and damn I feel like a hustler for the fact I basically got this for free. As you may already see this book took me way by surprise. I really enjoyed 50 Cent's storytelling on how he managed to gain success in different industries not just music. The examples he used of people's success were also interesting. I felt like I can apply his lessons into practice however I did feel at times he would contradict himself but I guess it depends on the situation. This definitely made me look at him in a new light.

This was a hard one to rate. Was I entertained? Terribly. Was it a good self help book? Hard to say. I felt like he would give conflicting advice from chapter to chapter (ie always be honest and true to who you are vs. don't be afraid to make people think you're something you're not) but it's probably good advice if you want to be a rapper turned tv producer? Highly recommend the audiobook to hear it all from 50 himself.

this book was very good because it makes you think. You think how what he says could apply to your life, and it makes you think about how you could change or do better not just for yourself but for the people that are closest to you.

I enjoyed his book. It did have a few petty moments, I’m not gonna lie 😂💀 but overall he did a good job of showing his perspective of his success and how he was able to accomplish them. They are a few hidden gems that he spoke about that I kept for my own personal intake. He provides encouragement to keep going after you made some failures not because he was already successful but because he also wants to see you succeed himself. Didn’t give no bs examples on how to strategically improve yourself, he provides plenty of examples and stories of his own to help you relate to get his point across.

I was not expecting such a positive and universal message, and yet, I often found myself thinking, this resonates, this is something I could do better with, this is something my students could learn from, as well. It gave it 4 stars because I got tired of the name dropping, especially about what others did wrong. That left me wondering just how authentic the messages were, but all in all, I was pleasantly surprised at how down to earth he came across as.

4 estrellas.
