I read this without knowing it was a romance novel. Thinking back, I'm glad for that, because reading this in a romance mindset would have diminished Mira's self-actualization arc for me. The rapport between the leads led to possibilities rather than a foregone conclusion. There's a lot to like here and a bunch to learn about Indian culture.

Such a great book! The whole idea of “the search” in the beginning felt a bit unrealistic to me but I’m happy I continued with the book. Everything came together so nicely in the end. The representation and rich culture in the book also make it quite enjoyable

Prime reading freebie. Also a read harder prompt. I liked the descriptions of India and Indian weddings, which was all new to me. Otherwise family baggage story with two romance plotlines though a bit more complicated than the usual.
