Beautiful story of finding love and companionship in later life. The relationship with the grandson is beautiful.
Also loved the funny touch with the mention of the plays at the theatre - Haruf Kent’s Plainsong trilogy!!

What a beautiful, generous book! Loved the characters and the slow building of their relationship.

A beautiful and succinct novel about two elderly people finding companionship and understanding. This is a great read for mushballs.

The story is unique and at the same time very commonplace. Older characters are rarely shown as more than characatures meant to teach us a lesson about the meaning of life. Addie and Louis do that but they are much more complex. I liked being in their world. I liked the writing style but disliked the abrupt ending but I understand why it was done.
