Hallmark movie (Christmas theme even!) in the form of a novella. A bookclub misstep.
This one is more of a 2 1/2; I liked some of it, but I definitely didn't love it. It was just okay.
2.5 I like Kristin Hannah, but this was definitely not one of her better books. At some point, I thought to myself: “This writing is so bad. How can this be written by Kristin Hannah?” I literally checked the cover again to make sure I wasn’t crazy. My next thought was maybe this was one of her earlier books… Copyright says it’s 2005 so maybe that has something to do with it. Anyhow, I finished it. It did have kind of a fun twist, but overall very much lacking.
Sometimes all we need is a fresh start and some magic. Kristin Hannah delivered a very cute, heart warming Christmas story.
This was a great read before Christmas, only I read it after!! Very different Kristin Hannah than her current projects. Magical realism. Tough situation for the main characters, a shocking twist in the second half of the book, yet, somehow magic happens . . .
This is one of the more unique Christmas stories I have read. At first I thought it was bizarre, but by the end I sort of lijed it. Of all the stories I have read this season, this one has stuck with me the most.

this book is so bad, i started it as a joke but i really can't see myself coming back to it 😭
Looking for light reading to start off the New Year and Hannah is one of my favorites for this. Imagine my surprise when the theme - have an out of body experience while in a coma - is the same as Wish You Were Here by Picoult! This one had a very happy ending.
