Interesting story. Definitely kept me on my toes. I loved the surprises around every corner. Excellent quick holiday read.
Almost gave this a 2, almost didn’t finish but I’m glad I did. There were parts I was like “what is this hot trash?” but by the end, I am kinda glad I read it. Wanted more romance and not so much “wtf are you doing joy?” thoughts but also like it’s a fable.. idk?

This was a sweet holiday book. Don't expect some amazing historical piece or something that delves into relationships, but it was a good book. It wasn't corny. It wasn't unbelievable. It held the feel of a Hallmark movie, but in a Kristin Hannah way. So, comfort food.
