This book kept me guessing. I don't know if I really loved the ending. Just a little too farfetched for me but I think that's the point right? To let go and believe in magic?

I enjoyed this read. Kristin Hannah never disappoints! I do have some mixed emotions about the ending….
I don’t think that the resolution of the sister and husband is flushed out quite enough. Or in a way that really resolves anything. Actually not much seems resolved by the ending except that Joy didn’t make up the whole experience in her head and Bobby and Daniel are real. So don’t expect to get all of your questions answered in a satisfying way by the final chapter.

If you like sappy, cheesy, not believable stories then I could see why this would be a fun read. However this is not what I excepted from Kristin Hannah. 2.5 stars

When Joy's life hits rock bottom after she finds out that her husband, Thom, and her sister, Stacey, are having an affair, it gets worse. Stacey and Thom are getting married, and Stacey is pregnant. Saddened by the news of her failed marriage and betrayal by her husband and sister, and having difficulty facing Christmas, Joy buys a plane ticket to Seattle without telling anyone. When the plane crashes, Joy is saved and meets Bobby, a young boy who lost his mother, and has withdrawn. His father, Daniel, is trying to cope and help his son.
But, all is not as it seems.
I had an inkling of what was happening in the story, but not all. It was a sweet story of finding love and providing comfort.

Only Kristin Hannah could write a book like this - with a twist in the middle that made you stop in your tracks! So good and heartwarming.

This was such a beautiful little book about a woman betrayed by the people closet to her, and a magical journey to find her way back to faith and forgiveness. I was caught up in the story instantly, and was thrown a loop or two, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
