I am usually not one for magical-thinking type books.  However, Hannah is one of my favorite writers.  This was my least favorite of her books (I have now read four I think).  But the book picked up in the second half.  It engaged me throughout.  However, it was a little far-fetched.

My first Kristin Hannah book and I loved it! I loved the magical/mystical/fate aspect of the book. To be honest, Joy was not appealing to me as a character until "the detour". When that portion of the book resolved, I was flabbergasted and amazed! I tore through the remainder of the book hoping for "my ending"
