Wanted to DNF but had to finish for book club. I had such high hopes bc I’ve heard good things about Kristin Hannah but this was barely readable. Half thought out story, terrible dialogue, characters I didn’t care about, and a stupid ending. Oh, and I saw the “twist” from a mile away 🙄.

There were parts of this that were enjoyable, but solely because of the way kristin managed to throw everything good to the wind by the end, this gets a 1.5. why are we trying to replace a child's mom after knowing him for 2 days, why are we falling in love with a father who is not reciprocating, why are we forgiving a sister who took your husband from you, why are we joining random strangers on a charter flight to nowhere, WHY ARE WE USING THE LAZIEST "AND THEN I WOKE UP" PLOT DEVICE TO EVER EXIST. kristin....
