I kept wanting the place to pick up in the first 2/3 of the book. I was finally pulled in to the story during the last 1/3. This story was a little too predictable for me.

Joy Faith Candellaro is desperate for a change of scenery after she is betrayed by her husband and sister. Alone for the holidays, she realizes that she is not the adventurous type she used to be and takes the first flight out. Without meaning to she experiences the adventure of a life time, changing her life forever in the best way.

It was imperative that I begin this month with a feel-good Christmas story... and that I did. This was a cute contemporary story with a smidgen of magical realism. It was well-written and fast paced, which is exactly what I was looking for.
