Wow what an unexpected story, a good chunk of the book is the Christmas feel good Hallmark-y story you think you’re picking up with the remaining parts of the story unexpected and twisting/turning at multiple points

So I realllllly liked the whole concept of this book. I liked the little paranormal aspect and the twist of the plane crash and then the twist that she had been in a coma and then the twist that they actually existed!

I disliked, however, the utter lack of real emotion or growing attraction with Daniel or anything at all during her coma time. Maybe it was supposed to feel that way because it wasn’t real, but I found more telling then showing and it really made me dislike that piece.

Oh, and she just forgives her sister and her husband that quickly??

Overall, loved the idea, just wish the writing had been better to make the emotions actually believable and able to be felt.

In all honesty, I would never have picked up this book without the appeal of the beautiful cover, but I'm so glad I did.
This book is not the cliche Christmas tale that I'd imagined it to be. Many twists and unexpected surprises happen, and though I tend to cry when reading emotional books, this is the first time that I have ever truly sobbed and cried throughout most of the book--- tears of happiness and sadness interweaving with each other. The vocabulary choice is absolutely sublime, and I cannot wait to read Kristin Hannah's other books. She has a poetic way of describing anything and everything; no detail is wastefully used, and she really knows how to touch a heart and grab on to it. Definitely a must-read!

This is really a 3.75. A story with a HUGE twist about three quarters of the way through. Oh how I would love to visit that Fisherman's Lodge...

Read it for the second time for my book club. I'd forgotten the story. I wish they would make a movie out of this book! Hello, Hallmark, are you listening?

Short, sweet story of love, forgiveness and having dreams come true. As I'm reading the story, I found myself thinking, "wait, did she just walk away", but then the story twisted and my question was answered or so I thought. You do have to suspend your disbelief for this, but still a sweet story and exactly what I needed right now.
