This book was so cheesy and didn’t make any sense and the only explanation was “magic”. The relationship between Joy and Daniel didn’t seem to really build- just bam kiss. The story was simple and unbelievable. A quick read but did not feel any magic and read it quickly to get it over with. A lot felt undone and underdeveloped.Joys ex husband has left her for her sister who is now pregnant with his child. Joy heads to the airport and boards a plane for Hope but the plane crashes. She’s in a coma but she believes she’s in Washington with a young boy Bobby and his father Daniel. She wakes up her coma and swears what she saw was real. She flys to Washington and Bobby recognizes her and ta-da! Magic!

This book reminded me a bit of "The Wizard of Oz," and Joy finally said she feels like Dorothy in chapter 11. Joy also said, "There's no place like home."

A super quick easy Christmas story that reminds me of a Hallmark movie. Exactly what I was looking for.

This book was terribly written. She overuses vocabulary (do a search for the word “wounded,” for instance.). So much of this book jumped the shark. How many ridiculous things can the lady live through. No chemistry was developed at all between the lead and the love interest. So so many weird things happen. Slight spoiler, but you are there by chapter 2. She is at this B&B and is playing with a strange kid and the parent is no where to be found. I cannot imagine just letting a stranger into my kids’ bedroom to wake him up. There was just too much wrong with this book for me.
