Y’all weren’t kidding when you said Mariana’s books are a slow burn. Cause this was a SLOOOWWWW burn. Could it also have been a bit shorter? Yes, most definitely. But, I loved this story. Auroras self discovery journey was one I could relate to so much and her personality just made me smile. And Tobias Rhodes!!!!! 😍🫠🤤 This man was def a grump but in the best way. I loved his family dynamic with Amos and his other parents. The ranger job and the outdoor part to this story was also a great addition. What I didn’t expect was that when the slow burn finally paid off that the spice would be so good! I was worried that Rhodes and Amos being upset when the truth came out would be dragged out too long but it wasn’t. The love they all had for each other was so beautiful. 🥹 As for the audio book portion, it had Sebastian York who I love and it was duet style which I love. Overall this was a really enjoyable read!
