I really wanted to love this book, but it took me so long to finish, and it became harder to give even a four-star. I started this book with really high expectations. It did entertain me, but through the middle or before, the stories began to feel repetitive, boring, and predictable; some short stories deserve five stars. Still, it got a low rating because of the other collection, so I gave it a 3.5.

Heaps of slurs and repetitive themes like extremely detailed masturbation and shitting in the sidewalk and you’re just like …? Sidewalk shit again? Some of the stories are interesting and chilling but it’s a weird read in an uncomfortable way.
