What a treat to have a volume with a story for each of the endless! I loved Death, Desire, and Dream’s stories most of all.
A well-put together collection of tales about the Endless. Particularly enjoyed Death, Dream, Desire, and Destiny's segments.
This is my second favorite of all of them.
A story for EACH of the siblings in one book? It's too good.

An enjoyable look at the lives of the Endless, set before, during, and after the main events of the Sandman series. It was fun to see these characters again!

A collection of short stories, one for each of the Endless.
They vary in quality, but overall it’s a good collection. Dream and Despair were especially good.
My favorite quote:
“When hope is past, she is there. She sits in a thousand waiting rooms and empty streets, in grey concrete buildings and anonymous hotels. She is on the other side of every mirror. When the eyes that look back at you know too well, and no longer care for what they see, they are her eyes. She stands and waits, and in her posture the pain no longer tells you to live, and in her presence joy is unimaginable.”

The Sandman Universe continues to prove that the creative power of Neil Gaiman might be endless (pun intended). Each chapter of each Endless sibling was so unique, not just that the plot is different from each other, but also the storytelling form, the art that accompanies it, and it captured the essence of them as a concept so perfectly.
Surprisingly, Dream's story was not the one that stuck out the most to me, though it served as sort of a backstory to the complicated relationship he had with his siblings and his relationships.
The stories that captivated me the most were of Despair's and Delirium's. Both of these stories just inexplicably caught my heart and, well, as one may say, sank their hooks onto me. Not to mention the absolutely gorgeous art that pushed these stories to a whole new level, if there is even a higher level.
As a reader, it is just so satisfying to dive into the rich world that is the Sandman. From a fairy tale, to a mystery, to a Shakespearian play, to a Greek tragedy, to poetry and prose, you name it, Sandman had attempted it in some way, and stuck the landing every time too. I can't stop dishing out compliments for Sandman, but it's something that I admit is hard to put into words, and something you just have to experience first hand to grasp the magic.

This volume collects single issue stories on each of the Endless. The art was great throughout, especially the art in Desire and Dream. I love the abstract art and storytelling in Despair and Delirium. It was great getting another story on each of them.

Gotta admit, Delirium's chapter flew right over my head
