I liked some of stories, others I did not. I think there is a reason he hasn't told stories about Despair before this - despair is a hard one to get right, and I don't think he quite got it. It was interesting to get the background behind why Dream and Desire are/were at odds, I was fond of Destruction's story. Overall not mind bending, but a good dip back into the pool of the Sandman 'verse.

I've been eating up The Sandman series since I started reading them earlier this year. I read this almost entirely on a train ride from NYC to RVA. While it was not my favorite of the series I've read so far, it was still brilliant.

Brilliant, amazing, and breathtaking!

We need to help protect Delirium at all costs. Also someone please give Despair a hug, she really deserves one.

I was quite disappointed with the stories in this book ngl. I think the illustration is quite staggering and definitely over shadows the mediocre-ness of the stories!
slow-paced

This collection has seven stories, focused on each of the Endless seven: Dream, Death, Desire, Destiny, Despair, Delirium, and Destruction.  I especially liked Desire, Despair, and Delirium.  Would be confusing if you haven't read The Sandman first, though.
fast-paced

I enjoyed the tales of each of the Endless siblings. Despair's chapter had me say out loud, twice, "DAMN, NEIL!"
