Gaiman can add to the Sandman canon as much as he wants. Love this series.

This book reinvigorated my love for reading graphic novels this year. Neil Gaiman's writing speaks to me, and these vignettes are powerful, intriguing and absolutely beautiful. The art alone in Despair's portraits is all-time amazing, and the lettering work in Delirium's world was awe-inspiring.

Writer Neil Gaiman collaborates with seven different artists to create seven distinctly different stand-alone stories about Morpheus ("Dream") and his sisters and brothers, The Endless: Death, Desire, Despair, Delirium, Destruction, and Destiny.

While it would help to understand the background of the "Sandman" series of graphic novels, most of the stories stand well on their own as fantasies or fairy tales.

My favorite story is "Desire" -- a passionate and romantic tale with art by Milo Manara.

This is my absolute favourite Sandman book. Not much else to say. It's just plain amazing.

I've found I'm not a fan of Gaiman's fiction, but something he does to The Sandman series is magical. And this particular collection brings each of the Endless into focus through amazing stories that I can't get out of my head.

I'm really surprised I liked this so much. Not my usual type of book. I ended up buying Act II. It reminded me of radio shows that ended in the 70's. I really liked it. It took me a while to get into it, but I think that is just because this is not my normal book style.

I loved all the short graphic novels inside this book.

I have to say my favorites were Manaras and Prados.

I didn't realize this was a graphic novel when I added it to this list. I don't usually track those. This is a collection of stories about the Endless. Generally pretty good.

Einige dieser Geschichten waren wirklich schön, die anderen weniger.

Some of these stories were really beautiful, others less.

Alcune di queste storie erano veramente belle, altre meno.

Re-read this for the first time in well over a year. One of my favorite Sandman-related collections . . . .

In a perfect world, Sandman would never have ended.

A great companion to the original run. Death remains my favorite...what does that say about me?
