 Very sweet book about an old lady and her octopus 🐙 

Marcellus is standout and I wanted more of him. 

Cameron was a spoilt man baby, but he at least got more tolerable as time went on.

It's a fairly light read with decently loveable characters, but it takes nearly half the book to feel like the plot is getting anywhere.

The writing style is acceptable, could've used a little more vivid imagery and a more creative plot.

Solid as a first novel, but I'd need to see some evolution to pick up any of their future work.

The Octopus chapters really saved this from becoming just another novel. It was clever. I enjoyed the characters and this book was definitely easy to read. Enjoyable.
