The only words I can think of for this? Beautiful and human. I was becoming a bit uninterested towards the end, but this is a phenomenal book. It definitely is profound and needed in our current society. As a young bisexual, it resonates with me in a way I don't understand. I've only been in one relationship, with a girl, which truthfully was a bit toxic. Thankfully I ended things in around a month, before we became anything official. Hearing about Carmen's experiences was definitely delightful (to me, at least). Of course, it's wonderful to hear that she's happy now. I just love the structure of this book, the use of different tropes to describe their relationship. Loved the mention of the Bollywood movie Girlfriend too!! It felt so much like a fictional story when reading it. Carmen is very talented. Metaphors, prose, writing style... All lovely. I liked this read but read it faster than expected.
