The Revenge Agenda

Saxon James

4.13 AVERAGE

Another banger by Saxon James! The characters were sooo lovable in this one, and the background revenge plot was also fun without being overbearing. Excellent easy read. ❤️

Loved it! By far, the best book of the series!
I listened to the audio, and Teddy Hamilton does an amazing job!
Great enemies to lovers, fall for my boyfriend's Fiancé romance.
Rush is a roommate in Bertha House; we've seen glimpses of him in the previous books. He has quite the case of ADHD and handles it pretty well, but he can come off as weird and scatterbrained. Hunter is just a guy moving to a new city to live with his fiancé and further his upwardly mobile career, who's about to have his life unexpectedly and unpredictably changed.
The book starts off with Rush surprising his boyfriend, Ian, and Ian surprising Rush right back because Ian was hosting his newly moved to town, long-tern fiancé, Hunter, and Hunter's family for dinner! It's the worst moment of Rush’s life and turns out to be the last straw for Hunter, too, and they both leave Ian.
Hunter and Ian work out a scheme to get revenge on Ian. In the process of planning and carrying out the plan, they fall in love, with plenty of spicy times along the way

This book had a lot of fun little moments that made me giggle time and time again. I absolutely loved Rush and how sweet and adorable he was. In the other books, his personality was very vague, and we only got quick little snippets, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect out of him... I can say I was very pleasantly surprised. On the other hand -> Hunter. I loved how Hunter was still such a good person despite not always wanting to be in the circumstances he and Rush found themselves in. They really connected and had a great rapport, which was absolutely entertaining.

I think my biggest misgivings about this book was that it felt a bit too fast-paced in the relationship development portion. I wanted a bit more communication and time spent together, but I will say that it was recognized that their feelings felt pretty fast. Despite a few little things, I genuinely really enjoyed this book. Saxon James just has a way of writing characters that have wonderful banter and such sweet moments that get me in the feels. This book is absolutely worth a read for its humor and relationships found within!

Absolutely loved this!

I think this is the first book I've read with a character who has ADHD where I felt like I was experiencing life through their eyes. You can truly feel the frustration, the high energy, the exhaustion and the inability to focus that Rush faces every day, as well as his thought process. It definitely made me love him even more than I already did from other books in this series.

I also found myself loving Madden even more - he's my favourite character in this series and I am SO ready for his book!! I'm super intrigued by Penn and it was fun seeing their interactions with Hunter and Rush. I also died reading the scene where Madden and Rush were heckling the TV shopping channel because I do the exact same thing

Fun, very low angst, cute and funny.

Rush and Hunter. Hunter and Rush. I loved everything about them. They didn't have an easy start, but their journey together was beautiful! I have loved everything about the Big Boned Bertha boys that has been written thus far, but Rush's story might be my favorite!

Got so bored. DNF @ 64%

That book just cleaned my soul. Rush and Hunter are butter and jam on a warm toast with hot chocolate.

Saxon James' books are my new safe place!

Rush and Hunter

PLEASE be aware that this review is meant for my own purposes only in order to help me recall this book and is in no way a reflection of what I think anyone else will like or want out of a book. When Rush (who has several ADHD) shows up at his bf of 1 year house dressed as a slutty Christmas elf and finds his bf there with his fiancée and family, he is shocked and humiliated. He runs away and is found in the cold by the fiancé, Hunter, who calls him a ride. Meanwhile Hunter has just moved to Seattle to be with Ian and breaking up with him, leaves him without somewhere to live. When Hunter shows up to his first day of work at his new job, both men are shocked to find out that Rush is part of Hunter’s team at the insurance agency. The two of them decide to get vengeance on Ian and kiss, with the intention of making a video. This propels them into an attraction that they then pursue. They quickly fall into feelings, but have a lot of stuff to work through. The biggest issue is that Rush has raging ADHD. They figure out that Ian has blacklisted Hunter and that’s why he can’t find anywhere to stay. They try to get information on him, and eventually Rush figures out that there are probably email documents. They bring this to Ian‘s boss and it works.

This was another great Saxon book with the Bertha boys.Rush’s ADHD definitely seemed to have components of autism also. This is a great book of Neuro-divergent acceptance. There were cameos from all the birth boys with more interaction with Madden, Seven and a little bit with Molly. We also find out that Madden is in love with his best friend Penn.

Audiobook was well done but I preferred the written
