This story was really cute to listen to as an audiobook. There were a few moments where the story felt slow but by the end, I enjoyed the journey (in more ways than one 🤪). Really cute for my first DnD style romance.

"Every day is an adventure with you, love."

If you love nerdy romances, you are in for a treat! This book has everything you could want in a romance with D&D players. We not only get a flirty elven bard, but his player is an auburn haired, bearded, ruggedly handsome hunk who is built like a lumberjack? Hot! Noah is so flirty with Sadie, both in and out of character. And you root for them from the beginning!

I genuinely love the entire cast of characters. Everyone from the senior ginger cat named Howard (excellent cat name), to the DM/Sadie's bestie Liam, to the entire D&D crew. It brings me so much joy that sweet orchestra teacher, Jules, plays a barbarian! I love that she has a way to get her anger out.

I also really love the way Lenora wrote the gameplay - like it was a fantasy novel tucked inside the romance! I thought it was so clever, and a better way to get inside Sadie's head as Jaylie than if we knew what everyone was rolling.

And the moment Noah and Sadie started writing rp for their characters... someone cooked here. All you former tumblr rp girlies will love it!

At it's core, this is a book about finding yourself beneath all the layers and walls you put up for the world - whether it's at work, around friends, or around family. Sadie's journey of self-discovery happens thanks to the D&D crew and campaign, not just because she falls for Noah.

I'm going to recommend this book to everyone who loves contemporary romance and romantasies.

Roll for Romance by Lenora Woods was such a cute, geeky romance that blended finding yourself with the magic of playing Dungeons & Dragons.

I absolutely loved Sadie and Noah’s relationship. Both of them were still figuring out their places in the world, and I adored how their journeys aligned when they found each other. Their chemistry was genuine and so well written.

What really stood out to me was how the book wove the D&D campaign directly into the story. It didn’t just mention the game—it let you join in on the adventure, which gave the book an extra layer of fun and depth.

I listened to the audiobook and thought the narration fit the tone of the story perfectly, making it even more engaging.

This one is definitely for anyone who loves romance, geek culture, or just a fun story with heart.

This is more of a "NOT RIGHT NOW" rather than a permanent dnf....
