Nothing amazing, but a fun, quick read. The main character grows on you (thank goodness, because she's pretty awful at first), and by the end you are rooting for her. I doubt I'll continue the series, but it was the kind of light read I was looking for right now. :)
This book starts off ok, very scary amounts of money pop up, and the girl can't control herself -- hence Shopaholic!
It takes wrong turns along the way, I had no will to read it sometimes, it is, sorry to say, full of debts and lies, and cheating as well (not romantically), and it shocks a bit. But I have to say I kept hoping for the best, so I held on to it. From the middle to the end, I read nonstop. Not that it was an amazing book, but it was good. I liked it very much, inspite of the flaws this character RUBS in our faces that she has. She seems to be an out of control car in the middle of a busy highway, and it's nice to see everything working out in the end.
If you can't stand feeling annoyed or are used to reading a few pages and chucking the book before finishing, this is not for you. Sophie Kinsella writes in transitional fases: the girl has a problem, she realises she has it and goes through stages of trying and desperating over it, and it works out well in the end. I look forward to reading the sequels. :)

Fun little read. Silly, but entertaining. Perfect for the pool.
She made me too stressed about about her credit card debt!
Too funny! Made me laugh so so hard. Such a fun and happy read. One of my faves of all time!
For the first bit I wasn't sure if I would like this book because the main character seemed hopelessly self-destructive and kept making terrible decisions. I wanted to shake her. But as things developed, this turned out to be entertaining and fun and even had a redemptive thread. It's almost a rom-com, and I enjoyed it!
