I was torn between 3 and 4 stars on this one. It was very enjoyable and much better than the film version with its extra story lines. However, I prefer the ending to the film as it seemed like the protagonist hadn't developed that much by the novel's end.
Just a fun book with a sense of humor! Great beach read.

Now this wasn't a bad book, exactly. I quite loved Rebecca and related her quite a bit but my gosh, it was such a boring book. It took me forever to get through it.
I guess I should learn to stop reading the books the movies are based off of. Because I watched the movie recently and I'm gonna have to say it was much better. I was surprised at how much they changed from the book!

Shopaholic is just one of those books that is easy and fun to read. It's everything I needed to pull me through winter and guide me into spring. Kinsella's style is both amusing and thought provoking, without the brain ache and at times her protagonist is so relatable it hurts. By the end of the novel I found myself becoming her own personal cheerleader.
I've already bought the third book in this series and I'm on the hunt for the sequel.
I definitely found a friend in Rebecca Bloomwood.

This is really, really funny book. Obviously has no real substinance but in the midst of being at school all day and not having a lot of excitement in my life while I was reading this it was just what I needed.
Easy to read, funny, romantic. Just a chicklit when you don't want to think about anything. Liked it.
