I thought it would be one of those rare instances where the movie is better than the book, but I loved them equally but in different ways! The book was far less cutesy than the movie as it made Rebecca (the main character) a dislikable character at first. Like really, I hated her. However, she really grows up in 300 pages and even though she still has her flaws, I really began to respect her and want to continue on with the series. As for Sophie Kinsella's writing style, I enjoyed it! She writes everything humorously but with a ring of insight and relatability. I can't wait to read more of her books and she is making me more excited about reading out of the Young Adult genre!
Really enjoyed the first time I read it (when it came out) but it just hasn't stood the test of time on re-read

I hate shopping, especially dresses, but faces the same problem of Becky when it comes to books. So no verdict from my part. After all everyone will have some obsession or other. . . mmm, if you say 'no' you are lying. It may not involve money as in this case, but time is as precious as cash.
Film is also wonderful, it has absorbed the comic spirit of the book completely. It is actually a combination of the first two books and the story and characters are somewhat twisted too. But that makes it much better as this story itself won't make a successful movie. The script writer has done well indeed, and so do Isla Fisher (as Rebecca) and Hugh Dancy (as Luke Brandon).

LOVED THIS. such a fun girly read. Follows a shopaholic trying to control her habits and figure out her life. Can’t wait to read the sequels
I gave up halfway through. Maybe it's because I'm not materialistic but I just could not connect to this book. Frankly, I just didn't give a damn.
