I read this book years ago. I loved it the first time around, gave it 5 stars. Now that I’m older, I don’t love it as much. Rebecca is immature and literally is the true definition of shopaholic. She doesn’t learn her lesson now matter what. This was hard to get through.
Omg!!! I needed to read this book!! I was in a slump and this pulled me out. I loved Becky. She was an absolute train wreck!! I found myself laughing at all her justifications to shop. Poor Becky. I just love her. I can’t wait to go onto the next book.

That Shopaholic books ensure hilarity and fun. Kinsella kicks off the series with a novel about a very naive young woman who you can't help but pity, who gets herself into situations that you can't help but cringe at.
Hilarious. Becky Bloomwood is so flawed and so lovable, you just have to sheer for her. She is amazingly dense about finances, but she is redeemable and I love/loved ALL these books!
suka banget....sayang Isla Fisher gagal menginterpretasikan sosok Becca dalam filmnya...padahal saia berharap filmnya lebih booming ketimbang Sex an dthe City or The Devil Wears Prada....tapi bukunya tetep, bacaan chicklit nomer satu....

“A man will never love you or treat you as well as a store. If a man doesn’t fit, you can’t exchange him seven days later for a gorgeous cashmere sweater. And a store always smells good. A store can awaken a lust for things you never even knew you needed. And when your fingers first grasp those shiny, new bags…”
Okay, so I feel like maybe I should mention that when I read this book the first time it kind of annoyed me but when I read it the second time I enjoyed it a hell of lot more. I think that's weird but it could just be me. Maybe me moving stuff all day and setting up ceiling fans, a wine rack, and some dining room chairs just made me like listening to the audio even more - I don't know but whatever happened happened and I can't complain.
Now onto the book - I just really enjoyed it. Pretty plain and simple.

Becky, oh sweet naive Becky, you made me laugh so much throughout this book. Now the only kind of shopping I can handle, plus I pretty much love to do, would be grocery shopping or book shopping. I really don't like going to malls or anything because they are usually so hot or filled with so many people and choices and it's just way too much. Whereas grocery shopping has food options and yes there are a bunch of options to chose from but I'm gluten free so I don't really have that much at my grocery store. Then there's book - glorious books - I don't even care how much money I spend on those bad boy. I'm probably the Becky Bloomwood of bookstores.
Also, it's pretty hilarious that shes an "expert on finance" when she is in so much debt. Also can her and Luke just get together and have beautiful babies?

Speaking of Luke, ugh he is so dreamy. And yes I am picturing the actors from the movie for this book. I'm sorry it just happens. I wonder what's going to happen to these characters in the next book. I can't wait to find out.
