SO... I really enjoyed this book! (It was a nice contrast from the heavy sci-fi stuff I have been reading, and yes, I do consider this shattered world... hard core, lets just say I didn't enjoy that book)
Anyway, I found it really refreshing, and Kinsella discusses very relevant topics in every day life in a HILARIOUS WAY!
Becky was such a fun character, and I laughed out loud at the situations she put her self in (practically nonstop)
-SPOILERS-
I REALLY liked the way the relationship between luke and becky was not a main focus, it was refreshing.
Becky's internal dalogue was also very relatable and I WAS AMAZED AT HOW TRUE IT WAS OMG

This was a fun read. I felt like I was the character. the struggles she goes through because of money but can't control herself the love of clothes, shoes, purses, and just plain shopping is an adventure. It's a definite page turner and I would read it again to experience the fun all over again.

I really wanted to give 2.5 stars. The character starts to redeem herself towards the end...I just felt that the change in her is so dramatic and so quick that it doesn't feel as plausible as it could (for a chick-lit book). I'd be interested in the next book in the series just to see if she's a more likeable, relatable character.
Rebecca Bloomwood in all her glory... I remember reading a few of these books in my teens so was lovely to get back into them...
I love the chracters and the relationships i love Rebbeca's inner monolouge and the way her mind manages to twist things up like a pretzel.... I dont get the shopping Addiction, clothes ok.... But wasting countless amounts on bed sheets, bathrobes and Candles was a bit much..... I think if someone was that much in debt those things could be chopped....
But still hilariosly funny with a relatable and likable MC.....

This one just didn't do it for me. I kept getting frustrated at how she continued to spend and spend. Get a little willpower for crying out loud. Even though the movie got horrible reviews, I enjoyed it much more than the book. I give it a C-,
such an easy book to read!! i love how most chapter has an “email” or “expense tracker” haha! I think Sophie wrote this book in a way that is enjoyable for both teens, young adults and adults!
Becky poor girl has such a shopping problem but she really did try to cut back and I am curious to know how the second book is!
I also have to admit, the flagship part with Luke was a bit boring

Did I read this because I thought it would be similar to the movie? Yes! Was is at all similar? No, not really! I did really enjoy it and overall it was an amazing book.
