Okay I freaking LOVED this!! I went in knowing very little about it and it just swept me away. Thank god I had last night and today off because I spent basically the whole time reading this between loads of laundry.

Things I loved:
- good levels of banter and sarcasm
- talks about mental health (specifically OCD, anxiety and depression)
- features side characters with a bunch of different queer identities (ace, bi, pan, gay, nonbinary, etc.)
- Charlie and Dev
- Parisa and Jules
- just all of the characters, all of them

I had originally just borrowed it but I caved and bought it because I know I'm going to want to reread this a bunch. If you're looking for a queer romance book with similar vibes to Red, White and Royal Blue I really, really recommend this!!

The storyline was great and there was a lot of LGBTQ+ representation, which I loved. I also feel that oftentimes with romcom books, the author takes too long to develop the relationship and then the story abruptly ends. With The Charm Offensive, however, I felt there was an adequate amount of buildup and that the ending was not too rushed.

This book was adorable but the 3rd act breakup was a real doozy.

adored the characters….. i related a lot to charlie, loved him as a mc, and loved seeing him learn to love himself and find love. however, i’m just not the biggest fan of miscommunication and/or fake dating as a trope so i was bored for a good chunk of the book. the ending was cute and sweet tho and made up the book for me. I also enjoyed the nuanced discussions around mental health

Loved the concept, characters, and representation. The writing style wasn't 100% for me, which is the only reason this wasn't a 5 star. Overall, a great read!
