It took me a little while to get into the rhythm and appreciate the narration style, but the book itself was incredible.

This book was so sweet! The writing style was a little quirky and took me a second to get used to, but it was great. It really is never too late to follow your passions.

I read this book after it was recommended by Ariel Bisset, and I especially felt that it was good timing considering I was working at a golf course and considering getting some lessons. Although this book didn't exactly convince me to pick up golf, it definitely made me think long and hard about how my life path has been influenced by others. The book was not exactly profound but it didn't need to be; a very good read overall!

Torn between a 3.5-3.75. Chronically binge-able, despite being slightly cringe at times. Such a fun concept, and it had me in tears at one point near the end.
With that being said, I found the dialogue to be clunky at times. Adam didn't really talk like a human, let alone a 17-year-old at the beginning. I wish we were shown more than we were told about the chemistry between Adam/Alli, it was not fleshed out nearly as much as I think was needed. Also, could not care less about fountain pens.
All and all though, I had a fun time. I have been wanting to read this for years since hearing Ariel talk about it on the Books Unbound podcast, so I am excited to have finally tackled this "mashed potato" book as they would call it on the pod.

Entertaining, binge-worthy read. It’s easy to see where this one is going but that doesn’t detract from the enjoyment. A slight YA lean in both style and message.

This was such an interesting look at the idea of celebrity, especially celebrity one feels is unearned. The argument of gratefulness vs privilege vs fulfillment vs duty. But at the heart of this was a love story, and deep friendship. Interwoven with humor and the love and joy of writing, this was a delight to read. It at times was…bothersome to be in the head of a teenage/twenty something boy, but I really enjoyed my time
